This policy explains what information Kate's Event List ("we", "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as we need to run the service.

THE LOOP COMPANY LIMITED is the data controller responsible for the personal information described below.

Information we collect

• Email address — when you subscribe to city notifications, submit an event, or create an account.
• Approximate location — we may infer your city from your IP address to show relevant events, or use your device location if you grant permission. We do not store precise GPS coordinates.
• Device push token — if you enable notifications in the mobile app, so we can send you alerts for events in your chosen cities.
• Event submissions — details you provide about an event (title, description, date, location, links, organizer name and contact).
• Basic usage data — anonymous view counts and diagnostic logs used to keep the service working and rank popular events.

How we use your information

• To show and rank events relevant to your city.
• To send the email or push notifications you asked for.
• To review and publish submitted events, and contact organizers if needed.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

Service providers

We share data only with the providers that help us run the service, and only as needed:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• Netlify — web hosting.
• Resend — sending notification and account emails.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — delivering mobile push notifications.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use cross-app advertising trackers; sponsored listings are served by us based only on the city you are viewing.

Cookies and local storage

We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as your selected city). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Data retention

Past events are removed automatically after they end. Email and push subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. You can remove yourself at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by disabling notifications on your device.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at sebastien.torres.38@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
